Thanks to everbody who made a comment. I had to leave after I posted and just now was able to read all your great comments. The feeling I am getting from all of you is No we did not worry about this. Again I know the cult has but this fear in me and many others. I guess it is just part of the healing process. Most likely I will die old with no mind to remember. LOL Still Totally ADD

I remember many years ago we would talk about those who leave the Org. something bad will happen to them. Because god was mad at them for turning away from the Wt. In our congregation there was this one person who left and started working this new job that required him to fly alot. One day the jet he was on crashed and all aboard died. All in the congregation was saying see this is what happens when you leave. I even heard one say Jehovah executed his judgement on that person. The question is when you first learned about TTATT did you fear something bad would happen to you? I have to admit this has crossed my mind once in awhile. Still Totally ADD

Why does the Society no longer use strong language?
by LogCon inwhy does the society no longer use strong language, such as found in the march 1, 1949 wt, to expose false religion?.
"...for years now the united states government has had a succession of roman catholic men as postmaster general and in control of the post-office department, and about such there can be no doubt that they are agents and representatives of the vatican.
but to date has anyone ever heard of this religionist in office issuing an order forbidding the use of the united states mails for carrying on a racket of collecting money from roman catholics upon the representation that it is for the benefit of their dead.

I remember many years ago a person who was a expert on child growth said when children enter puberty the rush of hormones makes children in many ways mentally ill. In other words their reasoning power is distorted. In fact they now know a human brain does not stop growing until your mid 20's. With that in mind for me this is another reason children should not get baptized in this cult because of the way this cult treats disfellowshiped ones. At a time this young lady needs real help and support from everyone she will forever be hurt and harmed by this cult's action. I am not condoning what she did but kicking her out congregation is not the answer. I am sure the legal dept. from the Wt. had it's hand in it some how or another. Very, very, very SAD. is the big show on 1914 at Service Meeting evidence of factions in the GB?
by Wasanelder Once insometimes the gb do end runs around each other, as when freddie franz didn't agree with the whole governing body concept and spoke against it at the gilead graduation.
could this video/demonstration at the service meeting tonight on why they believe in 1914 and how to explain it to others be an effort to bolster that belief because there is a challange coming against it by factions within?
i guess we can't really tell but i wouldn't put it past the boneheads running the society.

I feel they are trying to keep the R&F from thinking and talking. Many years ago when I was first appointed a elder I was told many times from CO's and older elders you could not trust the R&F to do the right thing. This is all about keeping them in line not knowing how to answer the question about 1914 out in service. Still Totally ADD

A question for my friends in the USA about cowboys.
by punkofnice inas a kid growing up in the uk we used to play 'cowboys and indians' and watch high chaparal and bonanza along with other cowboy films.
later, in the 70's kung fu would be shown with caine going through the 'old west'.
we even had a chocolate bar that was marketed with a 'cowboy' theme...milky bar.. as far as i know the 'wild west' as shown on tvdidn't actually exist.. are there people that believe it did?.

Punkofnice the real cowboys was those who herded cows across the western county to meat markets of their time. It was very hard work, dirty and dangerous. They lived outdoors for long periods of time. There guns was their protection from snakes, wildlife and bad poeple. The shot gun and the six shooter was their weapon of choice. Those who could afford it may had a repeating rifle. Interesting point there was many black men who was cowboys that worked side by side with white men. This was unusual for this time period. Now the cow towns or old western towns had establishments that was set up to get the cowboy to spend their hard earned money. So houses of prostitutions and bars was very popular. By the time the cowboy left for another cow drive they was broke. Most of those old cowboys movies always like to show a good guy vs the bad guy that was true to a point. Alot of the Good Guys of that time would be consider murderers today but since alot of those towns was not part of the US yet law sometimes was according to the towns founding fathers or the sheriff. It was a very hard life for many but many moved there for a new beginning and a chance to own land and make something of themselves. I sure many others know more than I do but this is my take on it. For the native americans their was a common thinking of that time to make them like the white men. My thinking of this country concerning them was "This country was formed on 3 things. (1) Genocide of the native americans, (2) Slavery and (3) Drugs aka tobacco." Hard facts but true. Take Care. Still Totally ADD

Living in FL for 40 years I saw this happen many times. At 82 with his former wife dead because on cancer that may have had a big impact on him. No matter how will you know him none of us really know what the relationship with his former wife was before she got sick then the care it most likely took during her illness. All this has a big effect on a person. So when the younger lady who was in good health came along and showed attention to him, That's all they wrote. I learned at a young age older ones still desire sex and intimacy. This may be why he is like this. Just a thought. Still Totally ADD
